  What are your dreams?

  one day, i was with my grandma and she asked me what my dreams (for the future) were.. i told her i'd like to be in band because i love listening to, and making music.

  plus, it'd be great if i could earn some good money with it.. she some how got the nerve to say,.

  "no, i mean a realistic dream.".

  my dream is to get my 1967 VW Beetle up and running. then over the years get it all the way fixed up SoCal style. hopefully as my son gets older, he'll take a liking to it and want to help me work on it so that when he turns 18 and graduates from high school ill be able to give it to him. or maybe hell want to get an oldschool car of his own and ill help him on his project car. itll be a father son bonding thing. something my father never did with me.

  i wish i could stretch my ears out that much. but its not allowed in my line of work, and they dont look that bad when theyre taken out.

  i agree, maybe your not open minded enough (borg still have a grip?), there is a whole subculture that you probably dont agree with or understand.

  anything and everything can be made into a tattoo. just make sure you like the design before you get it put on you, and the placement is just as important as the design.

  dont be afraid to spend some cash either, you get what you pay for.

  check out the shops before you actually go in to get the tat. look at the books of actual tattoos and not just the flash books. talk to the actual tattoo guy before getting it done. make sure theyre on the same page as you are on for the look of your tattoo.

  aftercare is just as important as picking out the design, the place, and person to do your tat. everyone has thier own aftercare ways. i use avenno lotion and recommend it to you. it works great and really keeps the skin moist because its a 24hr moistureizer, even if you only do it twice a day, but i would say that 4 times a day is what i did and it worked the best.

  @@ Car Headliner Sag Question @@

  has anyone got advice on what to do when your car headliner starts to lose its adhesive and then begins sagging?

  my car is eleven years old and it sags on either side and is now only adering down the middle.

  i dont have money to repair it like it should be.

  dude its easy.

  1st- go to home depot, auto-zone, etc. and get the 3M spray glue. (theyre not that much $$) theres a few but ive used the aircraft something or other on my head liner.

  2nd- carefully take the plastic trim from around the edges of the headliner. if you break one of the tabs on removal you can use good doubled sided sticky foam tape to hold the plastic pieces in place on re-assembly.

  3rd- tape up newspaper on the inside of the windows so the overspray doesnt get on them. (unless your really good at aiming a spray can) or just remove the headliner and take it outside.

  4th- spray the affected area in small incriments, let it sit a few min, then press the material onto the board. (repeat)

  5th- put it back together and let it air out.

  this is not very expensive and would take you no more then one day to do. or you can go the much easier and cheaper route and just rip the rest of the material down and paint it any color you wish.

  growing up as a witness things didnt make sense, but this sure as h3ll doesnt make any sense at all. i swear, christians are a funny group of people. and i dont mean to insult anyone, well frankly i dont even care if i have. and dont think i hate you because youre a christian because i dont, i just hate stupidity. which to me religion is all about stupidity.

  this is my first real christmas as well. and this is my first tree. me and the wifey went with a 7.5' tree. its very nice looking and the lights and all the decorations make it look perfect. i was so excited to actually enjoy a christmas that we got the tree and most of the gifts before thanksgiving and put the tree up 4 days before thanksgiving! we went silver, blue, and red, with some white. i remeber as a kid going to the worldy kids houses as a kid growing up and seeing candy canes on the tree so i just had to do that too, and smelling the tree. id like a real tree later on just for that smell. i dont think the air freshners that they make for fake trees to smell like real one are even tree smelling.

  Tried to get my mom to watch the NBC segment last night...

  she wouldn't watch it... i told her all about it, and she of course started defending it before i was even finished.

  then we got into a long discussion, which was pretty one-sided, her telling me why the wts has the 'truth'.

  i told her all my concerns, and tried asking the 'if the wts is god's one and only 'channel' to earth, why all the changes in doctrine' question, and she of course gave me the 'light gets brighter' bs answer.

  the conversation i had with my mom went about the same way. she told me that if i keep it up (trying to open her eyes) that she will stop talking to me. so i guess ill be stoping. i do not want my son to never know his grandma because of the cult. maybe one day something i said will grow in her mind and she will see something that trigures what ive said. then she will start to question her following of the borg.

  Career JW's and WTBTS Wellfare(sp)?

  just a thought.....what if a career jw were to do everything that the borg told him to the letter?

  for example, pioneer then get a job as a janitor at night.

  lets say that they do this until retirement with no retirement benefits because they didn't work full time .

  has anyone ever tried to sue the wtb&ts because of being told to do more service, not go to college, and get low paying jobs like janitor, window cleaner, etc.?

  the wtb&ts should be held responsible for the destruction of so many lives. i keep trying to tell my mom that pioneering for the last 13 yrs is good enough to jehovah and the org and she needs to get a full time job to pay for all her debts and her truck. she has worked part time her whole life so she has no retirment fund, no 401k, nothing. so what does she do instead of getting a full time job? she files for bankruptcy!!!! she doesnt even have a life insurance plan because she thinks she isnt going to die because the system of things is going to end before she dies! so when she croaks im going to be stuck with all her debt. she doesnt own a house, never has. so she has no estate, she lives paycheck to paycheck and relies on her tax return to pay for her time off to go to the conventions.

  i swear someone needs to file a class action lawsuit againt the wtb&ts so they will be held responsible for this kind of destruction!

  My opinions of Crisis of Conscience and Awakening

  i read the two books.. awakening - this was the story of a married witness woman (elder husband) with family in the religion.

  she had childbirth/blood rh issues and had to deal with not 'associating' with a disfellowshipped daughter.

  throughout the book she wrestles with various issues and suffers mental anguish jumping through hoops because of the religion.

  im a little over half way through and am enjoying the read alot. i usually only read a little before bed so its taking me some time to get through it. there is so much info in there that i never even knew. even though i gre up in it, i was never taught alot of the background or history behind the org. just like alot of us that were in.

  i just wish my mom would read it and get out of the grips of that dangerous org.
